How Top Moving grew out of the Disney-corridor side of Osceola County
Diego Marrero was born in Kissimmee to a Puerto Rican family that landed in Osceola County in the late 1980s, when the cane fields and cattle pasture south of US-192 were just starting to give way to the gated communities that ring Disney today. His uncle ran a small two-truck moving outfit out of a warehouse near Poinciana Boulevard, and Diego grew up riding along on weekend jobs through vacation rentals in Celebration and snowbird condos in Solivita. He learned how a slab-on-grade Florida house loads differently from a stucco walk-up, why Disney-area HOAs put narrow windows on truck access, and what a 3pm summer thunderstorm does to an open ramp on US-441.
After high school he ran crews for two larger metro-Orlando outfits, then spent four years driving long-haul tractors for a national van line — the Atlanta lane, the Charlotte run, the I-10 sweep over to New Orleans. He came home in 2017 to start Top Moving with one truck, one uniformed crew, and a quote sheet that listed every charge before the engine turned over. The customers his uncle had moved a decade earlier started calling. Then their grown kids. Then the Disney hospitality managers who needed a mover that could clear a Champions Gate driveway between Saturday checkouts and Sunday check-ins.

Roughly a third of Osceola County speaks Spanish at home, so we built the company around it instead of bolting it on. Carolina Vasquez takes intake calls in English and Spanish. Janelle Ortiz walks estimates in either language, in person or by video. Hector Rivera runs the Osceola local crew with bilingual command on the truck. Marcus Tovar coordinates the long-haul lanes for the families relocating to Atlanta or Charlotte for work. Diego himself still walks the bigger quotes, because the person signing the binding estimate ought to be someone you can reach on moving day.
