Terms of Service
These terms describe how Top Moving works with the customers who hire us and visitors who use topmovinginc.com. Asking for a quote or booking a move means you agree to the paragraphs that follow. They are written in plain English; the specific terms of any one job sit in the written binding estimate or contract you sign before move day.
Estimates, binding quotes and changes
A local Greater Orlando estimate is our honest projection from the walkthrough Janelle conducts; the final local charge reflects the actual hours the crew worked and the materials the move actually needed. An interstate flat rate is a binding written quote — once you accept it in writing, that figure locks for the scope described in the estimate, and it only changes if you add items, addresses, services or stops that were not part of the original walkthrough. Always read the written estimate, because that document governs your specific move.
Deposits, cancellation and rescheduling
A $160 deposit holds your spot on the Top calendar and is applied straight to the final total. Reschedule requests are welcome — give us as much notice as you can and we will move your booking, with the deposit following you to the new date. If you cancel outright, the deposit may be retained to cover the slot we held for you and turned others away from; the specifics are spelled out in the booking. During hurricane season the storm-cone reschedule clause described in the FAQ applies at no charge.
Liability, valuation and claims
Released-value protection at $0.60 per pound is included at no charge on every shipment and is the default federal liability level. You may instead select full-value protection for broader coverage, and Janelle will price and explain that option before the move. Cargo coverage extends up to $1,000,000 per shipment. Loss or damage claims must be reported within 9 months under federal household-goods rules, in line with the procedures spelled out in your move documents.
Governing law and jurisdiction
Top Moving operates under FDACS intrastate household-goods registration in Florida, plus our own USDOT and MC authority for interstate work. These terms, and any move we perform, are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
